ABOUT PAUL BENIAMIN
WRITER & DIRECTOR
Paul is an American-Coptic (Egyptian) filmmaker, born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey. Paul's yearning for filmmaking began with Beetlejuice. Between falling in love with the film and Michael Keaton's performance, Paul knew what his path was from there on end. Raised in an environment surrounded by the arts, Paul spent many of his Summer's at art school, all while growing a passion for writing from a young age. Mentored by Tony Lazzarino, Paul learned from him the fundamental techniques behind great script writing. Skills that he took with great heart, and has continued to use since. Soon after studying acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Paul spent time in front of the camera on shows such as Damages, Boardwalk Empire, and a webseries titled The Bar Series. He’s produced and created his own TV series currently in development and is in the process of creating riveting stories for the big screen.
Outside the world of the arts and entertainment, Paul spends his time as an avid Crossfitter, fitness enthusiast, and humanitarian. Paul's ultimate mission is to continue to make sure that no one living in poverty is ever forgotten about, or falls asleep hungry.
